Viewstats is an analytics platform founded by MrBeast[1] that tracks statistics of YouTube channels and videos. It's also popular thanks to its live subscriber count of MrBeast.[2]

There is currently a mobile app that is currently in beta.[3]

Controversies

Alleged involvement in MrBeast drama

During the MrBeast drama in 2024, Viewstats' live subscriber count stopped updating, starting in August 2024. Its last update stated that MrBeast had 309,164,697 subscribers.[4][5]

It is alleged that this was intentionally done to cover up how many subscribers MrBeast was gaining/losing, either by YouTube, Viewstats, or both parties. When questioned on Discord, Chucky, the co-founder of Viewstats, stated "lmao the conspiracy theories 😂 don’t worry we’ll fix it,"[6] which became a meme in the statistics community. After further questioning from TRAINAlytics,[7] he was then banned from the server,[8] causing more suspicions.

Eventually, in September 2024, the live subscriber count was fixed. Its first update after it was fixed stated that MrBeast had 313,335,347 subscribers.[9]
