The statistics community (also known as the stats community) refers to the community of creators on YouTube or other platforms that make and post content related to statistics and numbers, such as timelapses, visualizations, and more.

History

The stats community started out mainly as livestreams and milestone videos before late 2018, as well as some blog and forum posts. One notable example from 2006 would be The Children of Anchor Cove, where some people, such as milowent, would track data on fast growing and relatively unknown channels at the time.

When PewDiePie vs T-Series started to flare up, many livestreams started growing because of it, particularly those by FlareTV, but following the abbreviation of subscriber counts, there was a dry period of content, until the community found Flourish Studio and started making visualizations.
